So I thought some of you would greatly enjoy a good laugh...So last weekend Sav and I babysat a couple boys. They are so much fun. :) We were outside playing and they have these guns that they were playing with and they were also playing with some chinese boys....We were watching them and then this girl comes over and she has a gun too...little did we know that hers actually did something. heh The boy's guns only made noise, she pointed and shot at Sav and lo and behold it was a water gun. Funniest thing ever. heh so then she was chasing me with her water gun and laughing so hard. SO CUTE! I want a chinese kid. :) heh So as i'm standing under this tree playing with her, all of a sudden i hear and feel a SPLAT! what the crap....literally. A chinese bird pooped on me! Let me just say, it's NOT white like in america....it was SICK NAST brown and gross. Sav came over and i was like " is this real life, did a bird just poop on my shoulder/hair" i was trying not to gagg and throw up, she just laughed as any good roomie would do and handed me the house keys to go deal with it. heh...One never knows what will happen here.
Today has been a glorious day... Quite possibly the bluest sky since i've been here. :) The weather is incredible! LOVING IT!!!!!!!! Next week we are going to Dalian....to the beach...another overnight train so that should be fun. I should really start writing down things that happen, because aside from my above story, there are SOO many things that happen even in the matter of a day....haha i love my life and the people in it. I miss you all back home so much, but not long until i'm home. Can't wait to see you. Much love from Chinr ;)

Feelings are fleeting, but His presence....permanent.
It's an odd sensation that comes upon me as I look at those dearest to me graduate from CBC. Those girls whom I began my journey there with, who I've cried with, laughed with, listened to, gone to at all hours of the night for a simple hug of comfort....Those same girls have completed a season in their lives and I, being halfway around the world neither completed that season with them, nor was there to witness such an event that we all talked about and looked forward to since the beginning. It's amazing the grace and comfort that is supplied at just the right time. I could be bitter, I could be sad, I could be a lot of things, but none of which would express what I truly am...and that is overjoyed, thankful, blessed. I'm exactly where i'm supposed to be and had I not obeyed and taken this road, I would have not learned the lessons that I have. I would not have learned FULL dependence and it's truly incredible how this year away from home has driven me into the arms of a Savior who has captured my heart. I love my friends, don't get me wrong, but they were becoming who I went to first, they were becoming the one's I would seek help and advice from...not that some of that is bad, but I had put Dad second. Having been here, He's the one I laugh with, cry out to, spend the most time with. The journey He and I are on, will never come to an end...The chapters are never over...Season never changes.Sure there will be changes in my life, He will bring me in and through different seasons, but He is never changing. HE is the same yesterday today an tomorrow. What an awesome comfort. I may have given up a final CBC season with some very amazing friends, but I gained so much more! I'm reassured constantly that He didn't bring me half way around the world to have me return miserable...I have been changed, I have been refined, molded, stretched and challenged....I have been brought to my knees, and I have seen His face. I have felt his presence and experienced his heart not only for me but for man. I have by no means got it figured out...by no means have I finished the race, but I have grown in knowledge and truth of who it is that I serve. My hope is that when I return the passion and fire will only continue to increase and will be seen through the very eyes that have encountered the Most High. I'm excitd and look forward to spending my last year at CBC with some amazing people, some of which i've yet to meet, but I have no doubt they will be anything less than amazing. So while the tears have come and gone, The memories Emily, Kayla, and Sarah, that we have shared are forever embedded upon my heart. And I have no doubt that many more will come no matter the distance between us. I am so very proud of you, as well as my dear friend Kristi Lee and Jordan Morgan...you girls mean so much to me! I love you and I know that GREAT and wonderful things are being done in and through you. I'm blessed to call you friend, and more than that, sister.

a tough couple of weeks....
These past couple of weeks have been a couple of the hardest since i've been away...With my great grandmother passing away, it's been hard to be away from home. It's not so much the fact that she has gone because we all knew it was coming, but what makes it hard is the distance seems greater in those times. When i can hear in my the voices of my family the pain, and i just want to give them a hug. Dad is good though. He gives grace and he is the supplier of all comfort. I've learned much in this time, and while it's not been fun to go through, i'm thankful.
This race is coming to a finish here, and there are so many emotions that come with that...On one hand i'm so ready to be home, to be with my family, and friends, to be able to talk to Dad with Aaron (the single thing i miss the most) and to just be among those that have supported, encouraged and loved me so much throughout my time here and far beyond that. But on the other hand, I wonder what things will really be like when i return...Different, that's for sure. Many exciting things are in store I have no doubt. He's been preparing me and refining me throughout these 9 months and all I can say is Seana is not the same. I've been molded, shaped, and broken, but all in the hands of he who knows better than I. Sorry if this post was kind of all over the place....that's how i feel right now...all over the place. heh but anyway thank you all so much for your thoughts. I am eternally grateful.

I Love My Olive Family
I come in from Sunday this afernoon and to my surprise I have a package...I knew it wasn't from Aaron or my Mom because they usually tell me when they have sent something, so I look and it's from my olive family!!! I know the biggest smile came over my face... Reading the cards and words of encouragement really made my day! So THANK YOU!!!!!! I love you all and you are all missed very much! I will be home so soon now and i can't wait to get back and see you wonderful people. Your words and thoughts have truly brought so much encouragement to me while i've been away. Thank you doesn't seem to be enough. Oh and can I just say that the Nances show me once again why we are such good friends...1) the singing card and 2)Zach and his mexican friend (hey-sus) sent a card that had me laughing so stinkin hard! Love you guys.
So i was going to re-post the happenings from Xi'an, but quite frankly it's so long...so just ask me about it when i get back and i'll tell you all about it...trust me you'll want to see some of the facial expressions from some of our adventures. haha
This week was good. My bubba's birthday was Sunday the 11th...I can't believe he's already 8. He's growing up so fast....Next thing ya know he's gonna have a girlfriend....I don't know how i feel about that. heh I got to see and spend time with the mom, the lovely and very prego Brandice, Tia Lisa, and my beautiful Wellita...via skype of course. It was great. I always enjoy getting to see them. Soon i'll get to actually wrap my arms around them. :) That was monday..Tuesday Aaron and I celebrated 15 amazing months together. With each passing month we are grown and stretched so much. We are shown the realness of the one who has orchestrated our relationship and the one who is our foundation. I just want to publically tell you Aaron Greenwood, that you have encouraged, supported, loved and been on your knees for me like no one else these past 15 months. I love you so very much and i'm so thankful that you are my best friend. We are a great team and He's got BIG plans for our lives. Thank you for being the man he's created you to be, for leading us both and for loving Him with such a passion. I'm honored to be by your side on this journey.
Lets see..Thursday Sav and I hung out with one of our friends. The plan was to go to lunch and then to the zoo, then the market....so we thought. heh we went to lunch, which was good, except for the fact that i got suckered into trying neck...yes i said NECK! I believe it goes without saying that neck is not something i enjoy, nor will i ever willingly eat it again...We had other stuff, we ate at hot-pot which is pretty cool. You order veggies, meat, whatever you want and they bring it to you raw....you have this bowl of broth and a hot pot that boils the water....you just put your stuff in there, and then eat....After we ate, we had really great conversation...we were able to share with our friend things that we have been through in our lives and how we have dealt with situations. After lunch we were going to go to this park where they have cherry blossom trees or something, but it was so cold, so we just went to the market. That was fun. :) I love spending time with her. We are very much alike in many ways. We then parted and headed back to the school....Good day!
Friday we went to try to find the American Airlines in china because we still need to confirm our flight home....Well this has been a proces!! We have been trying to do this since like February....Again we didn't get it accomplished because the AA place moved to a different building...so we have to go back another time...so we just went to TGIFridays for dinner and then headed home.
Saturday I just relaxed and did some laundry, it was a simple and wonderful day! I got to spend some time with Aaron. He's so goofy sometimes. But i love it. :) Today (Sunday) has been a great day... Hmmm i don't know what my plans for this next week are...we shall see. We have a break coming up in May, which will be nice. Maybe i can skype M.Olive again that weekend...we'll see :) Until next time. Love much.Laugh a whole lot, and hey, why not eat with some chopsticks....it's fun, or funny..either is good. heh

simple joys in Beijing puddles :)
Last night was the first time it had rained since September...Needless to say i didn't know how to function. haha so i did what any normal 22 year old would do...I went jumping in puddles :) It was pretty fantastic! I got some aweful looks from a couple of guys who i didn't mean to splatter but did. haha It's amazing what one finds joy in doing. Something as simple as rain and puddles. I LOVE MY LIFE!
-School is going good...no news really there, just that it's going well. Still hard, but what do you expect...it's Chinese. heh
-It's getting warmer, still a bit cold, but hey it's getting better so i have much to praise Him for!
-I can not believe it's almost April...where has the time gone? I mean really....Wasn't it just August?? Nonetheless i'm excited and anxious to see all your lovely faces and prob. scream in utter happiness :) Which speaking of faces...I got to see Morgan Poole today! Pretty much made my week! How I love you Morgan! It was so great to see and talk to you today.
-Plans for the weekend....YAY tomorrow is FRIDAY :) :) :) Going to get my haircut..prob the last time here in China, then sav and i will most likely get dinner or just venture around...which will lead to an interesting blog story i have no doubt...heh then back to the dorm for a movie depending on how tired i am...which traveling across the city tends to wear us out.... Sat no plans on the agenda except possibly goin to some sort of convention thing...not really sure. and then a dear friend may come to the room and hang out. Sunday service :) and another week begins... Will be goin to Xi'an soon so that will be fun. :) That's all i got for now. If there is anything you would like me to blog about just drop me a comment...anything about the culture you want to know i'd be happy to blog my experiences on that topic and give you a good laugh i'm sure. heh

Beijing Opera
I have to say the opera was NOT what i expected...at all. We got there and it was really neat, we got to watch/take pics of the people while they painted on their face...The show started at about 7:30 and from the very beginning it was great...I thought i was going to get a headache at first because when they did speak/sing it was SOOOO high pitched. But it was fun. They had screens with english subtitles, and that was funny too because of the translations... There wasn't a lot of singing talking, but rather more moving/jumping/swords/ that kind of stuff to the instruments playing. Which was really cool. We got a lot of pics and video, but of course i can't post them on here. :( sorry. They had these guys that reminded me of the munchicans* (spelling) from the wizard of Oz....except they were chinese. They did the flips and it was pretty cool. I believe what we saw was the "Monkey King" There was also this one guy who would breath out fire from his mouth... :) All in all it was a wonderful night. Now, it's almost 10 pm and i have to get up early b/c me and barbie are going to the early service. Goodnight and much love.
