A new semester

Day two of the new semester and things are off to a pretty great start. After the last semester i had with a teacher that absolutely did not like me i was nervous about classes starting again. After much time talking to Dad, i knew things were going to be ok. If i got that same teacher, no it wouldn't be ideal, but it would be for a reason, and while i can't change anything about how she treats me i can change how i respond to that. To my pleasant surprise as i walked into class, the teacher i had was actually one of my very favorite teachers from last semester. And...since i have her for 12 hours of the week i knew it was going to be a great semester. :) I could sing nothing put praises. For the first time since i've been gone i'm excited about learning this language. I look forward to going to class and i feel optimistic that I'll actually walk away with some Chinese language learned. Something i was VERY discouraged about last semester. Other than school, life here in China is going great! The weather keeps changing, which isn't any different than in the states. One day it's like 68 the next day we have snow...i'm just ready for the warmth again. I always thought i liked the cold weather, that is until i lived through a winter in Beijing China. That's enough to change anyone's mind. heh We got our list of places the school takes us on field trips and one of the places is the Beijing Opera...which i hear is pretty cool so sav and i are going. :) They paint their faces and it's supposed to be something that is signature to China so it should be interesting. My birthday is next week...which is weird. I actually forget until Sav reminds me...which is like all the time. heh I'm excited though because i'll be spending that night with some friends here that mean so much to me! These girls have been such a huge part of my life here in China and I wouldn't want to spend it any other way. I can't believe it's already March?!?! Where has the time gone? 3 months left in this country and while i can say i'll be ready to be home when that time comes, my heart has mixed emotions about leaving the ones here....Anyway I actually have hot water tonight, so i'm going to take advantage of it while i can, so until next time...sorry there is so much time in between my posts...I'll try to fix that...but i make no promises. :) Love you all and i will be seeing you soon.
